| NewsUnprecedented number of scholarships availableNorthwestern State University President Dr. Randall J. Webb announced the availability of an unprecedented number of new scholarships for current and incoming students during a media event Monday. Thanks to recent major gifts to the university, the number of scholarships Northwestern State can award has risen 125 percent over the past five years and the value of those scholarships has increased more than 100 percent.  Alumna receives Distinguished Service AwardNorthwestern State University alumna Angela Guillory recently received the Sue Kraft Distinguished Service Award from the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors for exhibiting high professional standards and achievement in fraternity/sorority advising and contributing to the betterment of the fraternal movement.  New site for Demon merchandiseNorthwestern State fans can choose from a vast array of officially licensed logoed merchandise, including apparel, hats, housewares, sporting goods and novelties online on the new nsudemongear.com website, the official online store for NSU Demon athletics.  Nursing alum earns Episteme AwardDr. Kathleen R. Stevens, a Northwestern State University alumna and a professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, received the Episteme Award, one of nursing’s most prestigious research honors. Stevens received the honor during Sigma Theta Tau International’s 41st biennial convention. STTI is the international honor society of nursing.  All News |
