NewsLA House Votes Down Higher Education FundingDespite heavy lobbying by colleges and their supporters, the Louisiana House of Representatives overwhelmingly rejected a delay in tax rollbacks to restore some of higher education's funding. New Turf at Turpin Stadium The installation of the new artificial turf for the playing field began Friday, June 12, as construction workers unrolled 5-yard strips of V-Turf and placed them on the foundation of the field.
